Where Style Meets Skill: Miami’s Restricted Barber School for the Modern Era
Barbers are not only in high demand, but barbershops are back and better than ever! You can learn how to deliver impeccable fades, edge-ups, and dapper precision cuts.
Graduates will have a hands-on working knowledge in haircutting, including fades, hair styling, shaving and so much more! In addition, a strong business curriculum is permeated throughout the program, leaving graduates more confident and marketable for job placement.
- You’ll learn the latest techniques and skills in hairstyling, shaping, and texture, as well as clipper cutting, shaves, and mustache and beard trims as you prepare to take the state licensure examination.
- Our students develop the analytical skills necessary to determine the best possible cut for each client, using the perfect blend of attention to detail with savvy styling.
- Our Restricted Barber program teaches students how to provide clients with a classic barbershop experience and the perfect hairstyle, whether trendy or timeless. It combines traditional time in the classroom with real hands-on training.
- Students will walk away equipped with the most relevant barbering techniques and practical business knowledge.
- With a Restricted Barber license permit, you can: cut hair, shave, shampoo, blow-dry hair, and apply hair tonics and hair sprays. Restricted Barbers are just not allowed to perform any kind of chemical service (e.g., permanent waving, relaxing, and hair coloring).

While specific content will vary from program to program, most courses include a combination of classroom training paired with hands-on practice in the student salon training area. Most courses will include complimentary training covering a variety of topics like social media, business, and guest/client relations designed to increase your earning potential and longevity in the industry.
